BUDDY BENCH
Through the
generosity of the Mayfield Academic Boosters, Millridge Elementary has received
a Buddy Bench for our playground. This
bench is to be used by students when they are feeling lonely or left out during
recess time. Any student who sees someone on the bench has been given the
charge to go and ask them if they are ok and if they want to play. The
hope is that if someone is being left out, we will know about it, and that we
can teach kids to reach out to others when they need it. Additionally, we
hope to build more friendships in the process.
