CADD Engineering Technology merges interactive instruction, core engineering concepts, & innovative techniques, & provides a strong foundation for STEM studies & careers. CADD Engineering Technology emphasizes academic/scholastic achievement, problem-based technical skill development, collaboration, & work ethics principles, critical for additional studies & successful career navigation in a global economy. Senior students will have internship, digital portfolio, & transferable college credit opportunities.

  • Education: The University of Texas at San Antonio - B.F.A./Architecture; San Antonio College; Kent State University – CTTE Teacher Certification; Notre Dame College. 
  • Work Experience: CADD Engineering Technology (14 yrs), Lecturer of Architecture, Engineering and Fire Science, San Antonio College (5 yrs part-time); Corporate world: Architecture, Engineering, Planning and Development (31 yrs). 
  • Hobbies: Computers, 3D printing, stock car racing.

CADD Engineering Technologies

Recommendations: Algebra 1 and Geometry credits earned 
Credits: 3 credits each year (2 Courses/yr-1.5 credits each)
 
PROGRAM CONTENT

  • Areas of Architectural, Structural & Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape, Site Planning & thinking GREEN
  • Areas of Mechanical, Electrical & Fluid Engineering
  • Performance Product Life Cycles
  • Fabrication Lab Equipment such as 3D-Printer, CNC Router, Laser, Mill, Vinyl Cutter & Vacuum former
  • 2D & 3D CADD Techniques & Simulation
  • Blueprint Reading, ANSI, ISO
  • Use of micrometers, calipers, gauges & scales
  • Computer System Management
  • Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Presentations, Databases & Desktop Publishing
  • Time Management, Interviewing, Portfolios, Applications, Life Skills & Globalization
Software selections may include:
  •  AutoCAD, Solidworks, Revit, vCarve, Simplify 3D

         •   CT2 - 3 sem hours/all OH public colleges
