  •  We work with over 20 different businesses from our area                           
  •  Students  will be trained for future employment in their community
  • Via CEVEC Industries work opportunities and Cevec's power Standards Curriculum, students participating in the VAL program develop a variety of work skills, characteristics, and ethics essential for success in the world of work
  • Essential skills, such as; professional behavior,independence, time management, work speed and quality, communication and safety, as well as other critical work behaviors will be developed  through VAL participation

                                       Training/Community Experience

                      *Practice and master basic warehouse skills
                         (2-wheeler dolly, flat bed and pallet jack use)
                      *Safe use of hand tools and small table top devices/machines
                        (heat sealers, electric staplers, arbor press and more) 
                       *Work skills
                         ( assenbly, packaging, sealing, collating, inspecting,and preparing goods                                 for shipment) 
                       *Val students have traveled , along with staff, to and from contracted companies  to                                pick up and deliver product 
  • Typical Outcome for Students

                       *Develop basic "soft " skills, social skills, and work ethics to succeed in the workplace

                       * Becoming connected with adult service agencies
                       *Being prepared to participate in the next level of CEVEC training,
                         with the ultimate goal of competitive employment
