Innovation Center Field Trips

Elementary Field Trips

During the 2017-18 school year, students in kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade are visiting the Innovation Center to participate in a design challenge. 1st, 3rd and 5th grade students are participating in a STEAM project which adds the element of art.

Below is a slideshow with pictures of this year's design challenge field trips. 

2nd Grade Traveling Ozobot Field Trip

Watch the Ozobot read the color code and spin.

4th Grade Squishy Circuits Field Trip

Students learn how to make complete circuits and light up LEDs. They love the color-changing ones.

Students use the Engineering Design Process during their field trips.
They follow these steps.

Field Trip Rules

Students should follow these rules when on a field trip to the Innovation Center:

1. Walk.
2. Use inside voices.
3. Stay in the lower amphitheater or labs.
4. Use supplies wisely.
5. Be a great partner.
