LubeStop

WELCOME TO LUBE STOP FORMAL TRAINING

A formal partnership has been formed with the Mayfield Lube Stop. The Mayfield Lube Stop is a training store meaning that most new hires in this area will receive their training in this store. Students will learn basic automotive maintenance including changing oil, filling tires, changing filters, flushing systems and learning formal components to the automobile. Students will select either an AM 8am-10am session or PM 12-2pm session and commit to a 6 week program (30 days). After the 6-8 week program students will be formally hired by Lube Stop for full employment if passing all Lube Stop formal evaluations. Please note that the 6 week training is paid.

Before acceptance into the program, students must be interviewed by myself and Mr. Ross. After clearing the interview students along with sending teacher or VOSE coordinator must fill out the online application. Once a slot opens up Lube Stop will formally interview students for the internship, please note that a drug test will be administered at this time and passage is required. One week before the program I will prep student for expectations and a bit of background knowledge as to what to expect. The Lube Stop will only allow CEVEC staff on the oil changing area for shorts periods of time, so a student needs to be prepared to work consistently with Lube Stop mentors and supervisors. A CEVEC job trainer will be present but will not provide day to day training.
Students will be required to wear work pants, non-slip work boots and a dark button down shirt. After completion of program, students will be able to purchase formal uniforms. The preference of the program is for students who are either social graduate, in their final year of school or students who can transition easily from school to work if hired.
