PICTURE RETAKES:  Attention Staff and Students in grades 9-11: Wednesday, October 17th is picture re-take day. Picture re-takes will be taken in the Senior Commons, all day, during your lunch or study hall period. If you were not photographed on picture day in August, you should plan to be photographed on this day to be included in the Yearbook. If your family would like to order pictures, you will need to pick up an order form in the main office and bring it with you the day of re-takes.

FCA-YL:  Attention students. FCA-YL will be meeting Tuesday, October 16th after school in the LMC at 3:00pm. Hope you can join us.

ART CLUB:  Attention Art Club members: There will be a meeting Wednesday, October 17th at 3:00. Please meet in Room 253.

SMILE 4 LIFE CLUB:  Please join the Smile 4 Life Club tomorrow morning, Tuesday, October 16th at 7:05am in room 155, Ms. Rutigliano’s room. Your membership will reward you with service hours, joy, and camaraderie. See you tomorrow and thank you!

MAYFIELD READS:  Good morning Wildcats! Are you a bookworm or appreciative of literature in general? Are you a fan of movies and TV shows? If so, come to Mayfield Reads on Wednesday, October 17th at 3:00pm. We meet in the LMC office. Hope to see you there.

SOPHOMORE CLASS FUNDRAISER:  Hey there you Cavs fans, this week during sixth period there will be a Cavs raffle basket fundraiser for the sophomore class. Tickets are 1 for $1, 6 for $5, and an arm’s length of tickets for $10.There are so many great items in this basket. It includes: two Cavs tickets, an autographed Rodney Hood t-shirt, Cavs hat, coffee mug, and more. This basket is worth over $100, but you only need 1 ticket to win. You can buy tickets during sixth period and if you have any questions, ask a sophomore class officer.

PEER TUTOR:  Good morning Mayfield! Did you know that you have an amazing opportunity to be a peer tutor, right here at Mayfield? 40 students are already giving their time and talents to help their peers and we can’t think of a better way to show our Mayfield Pride.BE A PEER TUTOR! We especially need tutors in chemistry, biology, all the maths and world languages, human anatomy and government. If you’ve got some talent to share, love helping others, or are looking to gain some service hours, please see Miss McBride or pick up a peer tutor application in the guidance office or online.

SOUL CYCLE:  Wildcat Soul Cycle has been canceled for today, October 15th. We will resume next week as usual. If you are interested in joining, sign up at Wildcat Sport and Fitness.

Thursday: Wittenberg University, Carnegie Mellon, Mercyhurst University

Friday: Lynn University, University of Mount Union, Johns Hopkins University

BOWLING:  Attention Bowlers: There will be a brief informational meeting on Wednesday, October 17th after school in Coach DiBernardo’s room 219.

BASKETBALL:  Attention any girl planning on playing basketball this year: You must have a Final Forms account made by Friday, October 26th. Also, there will be a parent meeting on Thursday, October 25th at 6pm.

 GIRLS TENNIS:  For girl’s tennis, the doubles team of Hannah Kassaie and Caitlyn Hsu won the district championship and qualified for the State tournament, after going 4-0 on the weekend and defeating Westlake in the final. The girls will be a top seed at the State Tournament that begins Friday in Cincinnati.

SKI & SNOWBOARD CLUB:  Attention all students: If you are interested in joining the Ski and Snowboard Club, you must attend our short informational meeting in Room 263 after school on Thursday, October 18th. See Mr. McGrath or Ms. Heinl if you have any questions.
