Each month during the school year, the Mayfield Board of Education honors one student as the "Board of Education Student of the Month."

Students earn this honor based on the following criteria:

September 2009: Meet Rachel Jennings, a fourth-grade student from Lander Elementary School who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for September 2009.

October 2009: Meet Rachel Haycox, a sixth-grade student from Mayfield Middle School who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for October 2009.

November 2009: Meet Megan Richman, a senior student from Mayfield High School who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for December 2009.

December 2009: Meet Deanna Lowe,a fifth-grade student from Millridge Center for the Hearing Impaired who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for December 2009.

January 2010: Meet Israel Watson, a fifth-grade student from Center Elementary who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for January 2010.

February 2010: Meet Bailey Rotsky, a fifth-grade student from Gates Mills Elementary who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for February 2010

March 2010: Meet Luke Razzante, a fifth-grade student from Millridge Elementary who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for March 2010.

April 2010: Meet Rachael Kovacs, a senior from Mayfield Excel TECC who was named the Mayfield Board of Education Student of the Month for April 2010.
