 UPDATE 3-22: Due to Governer Dewine's stay at home order, The IT Department suggests to all families without a device to consider purchasing a personal device from the list below.  We have researched and have provided a variety of different price points for devices based on your needs.  All devices ship from Amazon directly to your home.  Thank you!
 
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayfield City Schools Technology Department will be closed from March19, through April 6.  The Technology Department will continue to work remotely to provide support for staff and students.  Right now, our role as tech support is rapidly shifting and we are striving to make available resources and tools that will help shift your house to a virtual classroom.

Please know we are unable to assist with home wifi issues and will need a working device connected to the internet if troubleshooting is necessary.  Remote webex sessions will be used where applicable.

The Technology Department will not have the resources to repair and exchange devices during the temporary closure of all facilities.  If your student or educator device is damaged beyond the ability for use, the Technology Department recommends the following devices for personal and educational use.

Device Replacement

 
Question:  What are my options if my device is damaged/stops working properly?
  
Answer:  The Mayfield City School District is adhering to Governor DeWine's "Stay at Home" Policy.  At this time, The IT Department will not be able to exchange or provide additional devices.  Click on the following link to view a list of devices available for you to purchase, that the IT Department recommends for personal/educational use.  
 

Device Repair/Exchange

 
Question:  Will the district replace my issued Chromebook during remote instruction?
 
Answer:  Per Governor DeWine's "Stay at Home" order, all buildings would be closed until April 6th.  The IT Department will not be exchanging/replacing devices at this time.  If you are experiencing any software/technology issues that are not covered in the Troubleshooting section of the IT Department's webpage, please feel free to email your questions to [email protected]

Web Filtering

 
Question: Who is providing the chromebook web filtering?
 
Answer:  Web filtering will be provided by the Baracuda Chromebook Security Extension
