FILM & VIDEO PRODUCTION (Grade 8)

Students will study various filming techniques (types of shots, angles and camera movements) and apply those techniques in various topical projects of their choosing.  Students will be instructed on how to properly use a video camera (record, edit, export) and produce polished .MP4s, edited in iMovie.  Projects include, but are not limited to:

      4-shot Sequence
Green Screen Commercial/TV Show Openin
Public Service Announcements (PSAs)
Movie Trailer
Conducting the Interview

Enrollment in this course will require students to function in a fast-paced environment, work in teams, plan projects before shooting (storyboarding), and meet production deadlines.  At any given time, students will be behind the camera directing or in front of the camera acting. 

DIGITAL MEDIA (Grade 7)
Focusing mainly on VIDEO, students used iMovie to review one of their favorite books (movie-style trailer) and produced a personal piece, My Hero.  In each project, students learned how to locate resources, create a storyboard/plan, rehearse, record, give constructive criticism to classmates, edit, add extra effects, save, produce and distribute their media.   

DIGITAL MEDIA (Grade 6)
Creating/Editing AUDIO files using GarageBand and VIDEO files using iMovie. In each project, students learned how to locate resources, create a storyboard/plan, rehearse, record, critique, edit, add extra effects, save, produce and distribute their media.
