Menorah Park Job Training Site

Menorah Park Campus, Ahuja Medical Center and Lifetime Fitness Job Training Sites

Welcome to our team.  Students assigned to this team will have the opportunity to explore different vocational experiences on the Menorah Park Campus for Senior Living, Montefiore, Ahuja Medical Center campus and Lifetime Fitness.  Our team offers different levels of supports to the student interns as needed.   This means that the students, depending on their job assignments, will be assigned to a mentor (a current employee) and will also be supervised by CEVEC staff ranging from 5% to 70% of their scheduled work shift.  The staff to student ratio varies between one staff to two students to one staff to eight students.  Students have the opportunity to work in several different areas on this team including maintenance, housekeeping, food service, dish washing, laundry, customer service, and banquet set up.

Students also participate in work meetings that focus on the sixteen CEVEC Power Standards as well as transition activities throughout the school year.  These lessons help to prepare the students to display professional vocabulary, behaviors and skills required to obtain and maintain employment in the community.

The CEVEC staff at this site has partnerships with the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, Lake County, Geauga County and the Cuyahoga County Boards of Developmental Disabilities.  These working relationships benefit the students by assisting them to gain eligibility through the OEDI as well as to secure employment in summer work programs and post school work options.
