Residents are Welcome to Become Involved with our Schools
Mayfield City Schools welcomes local residents and businesses, including our senior adults, to share their time and skills in becoming a part of Mayfield Schools. We promote this collaboration because it contributes to the health of our community while enriching the educational experiences of our students. We strive to match your interests and expectations with the needs of the school. Some volunteer positions require a weekly commitment to provide consistency in the school environment, while other positions last only as long as the project requires. If you have a special background, skill, or interest, we may be able to customize a volunteer position especially for you. New volunteers are first required to meet with the Adult Volunteer Coordinator. Please consider contacting us to hear more about our volunteer program.

Mayfield Community Education - Visit Homepage
Mayfield Community Education is proud to present a wide variety of courses for every member of your family. Hundreds of classes are offered every season in the following areas:
Mayfield Business Education Community Alliance Foundation
The Mayfield Business Education Community Alliance Foundation was established in May 1996 to enhance and extend the educational and economic development opportunities through a collaboration of citizens, community, school and local business representatives within the Mayfield City School District.
The Alliance is funded through the proceeds of its annual 18 ForEducation Golf Outing which has raised over $100,000 during the past six years. Donations from area companies also are earmarked for specific projects such as Rockwell Automation's signature sponsorship of the annual Science & Technology Showcase.
Proceeds from the Alliance directly benefit Mayfield City Schools students and staff through the annual Grants to Teachers program which promotes creative extensions of the Mayfield Schools' curriculum.
Other programs supported by the Alliance include the Art Festival at Hillcrest Hospital , Science & Technology Showcase at Landerhaven and the Fall Family Festival at the Gates Mills Horticulture Center.
The Alliance 's latest endeavor will be to host the first, annual Groundhog Day Forecast Breakfast at Landerhaven on Feb. 2, 2007. More than 400 guests of school, community, local government and business representatives are expected to attend this lighthearted forecast meeting to learn more about the community, schools and businesses in Mayfield Heights , Mayfield Village , Highland Heights and Gates Mills.
Community involvement is further evidenced by citizen membership on various Board and District committees which include, among others, finance and curriculum advisement.
Alliance trustees meet quarterly for breakfast meetings. Subcommittees meet monthly.
