Study of Rube Goldberg machines challenges students' cranium, creativity

MHS junior and senior Physics students applied their creativity and smarts to create working Rube Goldberg machines.

For those of you who may not know what a Rube Goldberg machine is exactly it is a
machine, contraption, invention, device, or apparatus that  is a deliberately over-engineered or an overdone machine that performs a very simple task in a very complex fashion, usually including a chain reaction. Whew!
The expression is named after American cartoonist and inventor Rube Goldberg  (1883–1970).

The student's creations were the culmination of their studies in the areas of mechanical, electrical and kinetic energy. Teachers Mr. Rice & Mr. Friel.
