Prairie & Pathways dedicated to Dr. Price

The Mayfield Board of Education and the staff of the Gates Mills Environmental Education Center dedicated the newly-installed Prairie & Pathways in honor of Superintendent Dr. Phillip G. Price. Dr. Price will retire from Mayfield CIty Schools on July 31st after leading the district for 14 years.

Below is the text of the temporary sign which was unveiled during the June 4th dedication.

Welcome to the Phillip G. Price Prairie & Pathways

Through the vision of Dr. Phillip G. Price, Superintendent, Mayfield City Schools, the prairie and pathways exist for today’s students & community and for future generations. This site, which was developed by Dr. Price, horticulture teachers Ed Tuhela and Rebecca Gardner and horticulture staff, provides an outdoor classroom, prairie, wooded trails, ponds, and future vernal pools for the students, teachers, staff, and community of the Mayfield City Schools to study, research, and enjoy.

DEDICATED JUNE 4, 2012
