Greetings: One of the biggest challenges school districts face today is preparing students to be successful, productive citizens in the 21st century. In addition to identifying the skills, knowledge and abilities which are likely to be needed in the future, schools need to provide the necessary opportunities and support to permit all students to achieve their potential.
The Mayfield Excel Technical Education Career
Consortium programs are designed to provide expanded options to
all students. These include college preparatory, tech prep, school-to-work,
and other educational learning opportunities. Through the close
cooperation of school personnel, parents, and business and industry,
students have exciting choices to grow, learn and prepare themselves
for the future. We invite you to work with us to continue to expand

The administrative office is located in Mayfield High School in Mayfield Village. Technical education programs are housed at Aurora, Beachwood, Mayfield, Orange, Solon and Brush high schools; at Alpha Park and Children's World in Highland Heights; Mustard Seed Market & Cafe in Solon; the Beachwood Hilton Hotel; Geauga Lake in Aurora; the Cleveland Botanical Gardens; and the Horticulture Center in Gates Mills. Most programs are two-year junior-senior classes, with other offerings being one-year senior-only programs. Students involved in career technical education benefit from:
