Two year program

MAYFIELD: This two-year program involves classroom, practical experiences and English and Science designed to assist the student in developing specific skills and the scientific knowledge to be a licensed cosmetologist.
Students who successfully complete the
program can qualify to take the State Board
Examination.

BRUSH: This course is designed to offer students specialized training and experiences needed for successful Ohio State Board of Cosmetology licensing. Qualified students will learn: sanitation procedures, anatomy, chemistry and physiology, hair care procedures, skin care, nail care and leadership skills.

HOSPITALITY & FOOD SERVICE CAREERS

Two year program

The objective of the program is to work in conjunction with an area food
service/hospitality operation to provide an educational training environment for students wishing to pursue an occupation in hospitality and/or food service. It serves 11th and 12th grade students who will receive career technical related and lab credits. The workbased learning provides a diverse range of experiences with the assistance of professional mentors.

PUBLIC SAFETY SERVICES ACADEMY

COLLEGE TECH PREP OPTION
Two year program

Students interested in the Public Safety areas should be in good physical condition, care for other people, have the ability to work on a team, and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. Since a student must be 21 years of age for these areas, they will need post secondary training as well in preparation for the job. The course will cover several areas in the Public Health and Safety careers such as criminal investigations, identifying and apprehending criminals, the prison and parole systems, police officer and security, fire fighting, environmental protection and emergency medicine. This two year program is designed to prepare students in the Public Safety Core of ethics, safety, computer technology, emergency telecommunications, diversity and disabilities, schematics, maps, geographic information systems, psychology of stress, equipment training, HAZMAT training, terrorist assessment training and incident command.
