Students
enrolled in the following programs will participate in the IT
Academy:
-CADD Engineering Technology (Computer Aided
Design/Drafting)
-CNET-Computers, Networking and Electronics
-ITP-Information Technolgy & Programming
-Interactive Media
Core
classes in each discipline are taught by expert instructors
to provide students with a broad base of competencies in business
and information technology in a project oriented team environment.
What
is IT Academy?
For
all programs in the IT Academy, the curriculum requires students
to achieve skill levels in areas other than those which directly
correlate to that industry. These skills are referred to as
Soft Skills and Transferable Skills. These include but are not
limited to:
-Teambuilding
-Computer Applications & Productivity Tools
-Employability
-Technical Writing
-Communication
-Job Seeking
-Presentations
-Business Concepts Law & Ethics
-Economics
These will be the basis for the related instruction. Students
will receive a separate grade on their report cards for this
part of the program.
