Arts and Exploratory Classes
Arts classes include physical education, art, and music. Exploratory classes include Family & Consumer Science, Digital Communication, Skills for
Adolescence, Italian, Spanish, Reading Advantage, Art, French, Media Services,
Current Events, Math Advantage, Instrumental Music – Band, Vocal Music, Health,
of the nature of these classes a level of understanding of 4 is not
expected. Therefore there are only 3
levels on the rubric.
Student performance in these classes will be reported in Pinnacle using the
following terms: Developing, Skilled or Accomplished. Teachers can keep track of performance in
Pinnacle using a 1, 2, or 3 score. A
scale will be used to convert to a final rating of developing, skilled, or
accomplished. The following scale will
be used to convert to an overall rating.
1.25 – 2.24
2.25 – 3.00
Students will be given Summatives on skill/game parts for each unit completed during PE.

Developing – Experiences difficulty and
requires consistent practice and support.
Skilled – Gaining understanding of the
standards with practice and support.
Accomplished – Meets criteria and
expectations of the standard.
