Teacher/Staff Contact:
My name is Sally Maher and I am a teacher at Millridge Center for the Hearing Impaired.  I have dual undergraduate degrees from Bowling Green State University--one in Elementary Education and one in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.  I earned my Masters of Arts degree from John Carroll University with a specialty in Remedial Reading.  I have more than 60 hours past my Master's Degree, mostly in the areas of Early Childhood Reading and Mathematics.  I have traveled twice to Australia to work with leading educators in the area of Mathematics, but my first love is teaching Reading.  This past summer, I attended training  on some new Math assessments and activities that we will be using this school year.  I can't wait to get started!  Within the Mayfield Schools, I collaborate with elementary teachers in the areas of Reading and Writing. I also teach Phonics in Motion at Lake Erie College and can be reached by phone at 440-995-7320 and by e-mail at SMaher@mayfieldschools.org

I love to garden and to travel.  I have a wonderful cocker  spaniel named Emma who keeps me on my toes.
