CULINARY ARTS Students Donate to Hurricane Relief


This Fall, the Excel TECC culinary program decided to take action in the form of raising funds for hurricane relief. The culinary program is associated with the American Culinary Federation which is a local and nation level professional organization for food professionals. That being said, the junior class and senior classes decided to collaborate to raise funds for the American Culinary Federation’s Disaster Relief Fund. 

This fund gives financial assistance to fellow food professionals nationwide who have been affected by the recent severe weather conditions all over our country. Together, the classes raised $175.35. Well done culinarians!

CONGRATULATIONS Excel TECC National Winners!!

The 53rd Annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference was held in Louisville Kentucky on June 19th-24th. The students of Excel TECC did a magnificent job representing our CTE Consortium as well as the State of Ohio at the 2017 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Championships. Our students were amidst over 6,000 student competitors, all state gold medal champions, representing the top one-percent of all career-technical education students in America including DC and three territories.

-ITP students David Bryson, Max Kotlan and Joshua Jaffe - First Place/Gold Medal
-W-E Cosmetology student Savanna Kubish - Gold Medal
-Welding student Joseph Jarmuszkiewicz - Gold Medal
-CADD students Devon Medsker, Emily Pietrantone and Ryan Previte - National Finalists
-ITP student Dominic Ferrante - National Finalist
-Construction Trades students Kyle Ross, David Gelo and Charlie Cole - 13th place finish
-ITP juniors Max Brinton and Mitchell McLauglin - 21st place finish
