"Hidden in Plain Sight" program to be held at Mayfield High School on September 7th.

MAYFIELD CITY SCHOOLS TO HOST “HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT”

Looks can be deceiving.

That’s the message behind a unique traveling exhibit created by the Bath and Copley Township Police Departments. The display is called “Hidden in Plain Sight.” The departments constructed what appears to be at first glance the bedroom of the average teenager.  But amidst the clutter of clothing scattered on the floor, school supplies on a desk and personal care products on a vanity are more than 150 items that can actually be signals that a young person could be involved in risky, dangerous and even illegal activity.

“Hidden in Plain Sight” will be on display at Mayfield High School on September 7, 2016. Doors open for browsing at 6:00 p.m. with a presentation from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.   The exhibit is open to adults only.  There is no charge for admittance. If you cannot arrive at the designated start time, join us when you can.

The audience is encouraged to explore and interact with items in the display which may be indicative that a teenager is involved in substance abuse, underage drinking, eating disorders, sexual activity and more.  Participants will be enlightened, educated and astonished.

Mayfield Village Police Department
will also be involved in presenting the exhibit. For further information, contact Jane Reilly Perry at 440.995.6813.
