Millridge P.R.I.D.E.
Earlier this school year, Millridge implemented our school-wide PRIDE program. The PRIDE program is our school’s process for helping to teach and reinforce expected social and behavioral skills. Our PRIDE program is designed to not only improve the overall culture and climate of Millridge, but to decrease the likelihood of inappropriate behaviors.
Each letter stands for an expected behavior or characteristic that we expect from all students:
P = Positive Attitude
R = Respect
I = Integrity
D = Disciplined
E = Empathy
You may have noticed your children talking about the program, and discussing the stickers and rewards that they have earned this year from their teacher, another staff member, or even their bus driver! Entire classrooms and homerooms can also be rewarded with a horseshoe, and both classrooms and individual students are recognized by having their names read on the morning announcements. As the second half of the school year is well underway, use this as an opportunity to ask your children about the program, and to congratulate them for displaying Millridge PRIDE!
