The Mayfield City Schools Art Docent program
Mayfield’s Art Docent program provides classroom art presentations for students in grades K-3 and is entirely driven by volunteers.
The program runs January through May each school year. Docents spend approximately one hour in the classroom during each of those months presenting a set curriculum of artists and their works to the students. The docent presentation includes a brief biography of the artist, a discussion of
the specific piece in the curriculum and a fun art project. EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY. Training and support is provided.
