2018 Millridge Elementary Halloween and Fall Harvest Party Celebrations

Halloween and Fall Harvest Party celebrations are right around the corner and we are excited tocelebrate with your child on Wednesday, October 31st. Below you will find the details pertaining to both celebrations.

Costume Expectations:

  • Costumes should be appropriate for school. Scary costumes or anything involving blood or gore will not be permitted in school as we want to respect the age range we have at Millridge Elementary.
  • Minimal face makeup is permitted, but should be done at home prior to arriving at school.
  • Costumes should be brought in a bag with your child’s name on it. Clothing such as leggings, under armour, etc. that are a part of the costume can be worn to school so as to make the changing process easier.
  • Masks are allowed, but should be easily removable in the case of an emergency.
  • Weapons are not permitted as part of the costume.
 Costume Parade

  • The outdoor parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. Every effort will be made for this to occur for our students and families - should the weather be such that we are unable to hold an outdoor parade, an announcement will be made by 1:00 on the 31st through Infinite Campus notifying all families. It is our intent to hold the parade .
  • All students will exit through the doors at the end of the (now former) pre-school hallway starting with Kindergarten and ending with Fifth grade.
  • Parents are welcome to line up along the sidewalk in front of our cafeteria entrance/exit, gym doors and along the remainder of the sidewalk all the way around the building.
  • Students will walk in one direction using the sidewalk towards door number 9 (end of thegrades 3-5 hallway) and re-enter through the door to head back to their classrooms for the party.  The indoor parade (due to inclement weather) will also begin at 1:30 p.m.
  • All students will enter the doors to the gym and head to their right walking the inside perimeter of the gym.  Parents are welcome to stand against the walls of the gym for picture opportunities.
  • Grades K-2 will begin, followed by grades 3-5. There will be announcements dismissing grade levels so that we can account for the high traffic area near the gym doors.  After traveling around the gym, classes will exit out of the internal main gym entrance doors and head back to classrooms.

PTG Room Parent Volunteers:
  • Room parents who need to set up for the party will be permitted to come back at 1:15p.m. to begin this process. Sign-in will occur in the gym prior to that time.

Fall Harvest Party:
  • Thanks to Mr. Drozd once again for hosting our Fall Harvest Party. This will be held in the Library. If you wish for your child to be a part of this celebration, please turn in the form found on our website to the office. Students will be sent back to their homerooms by 2:20 to get ready for the end of their day.

Thank you in advance for following these procedures so that everyone can enjoy this celebration!

Go Mustangs!
Craig
