Monday 8/22: Students will complete an off-site work project for a Gates Mills resident. Students will weed, edged, prune and clean up upon job completion. Students will practice teamwork, horticulture skills, safety, and interpersonal skills, .
Tuesday8/23: Students will recall identification plants and insects. Greenhouse maintenance. Irrigation, fertilization, weed removal, composting techniques and propagation. Small group work. Teamwork skills. Students will be given important information on irrigation and the importance of 'scouting' and treating for insects.
Wednesday 8/24: Students will complete written identification and spelling tests. Students will review weeks assignment and ask any questions. Students will utilize computer lab to work in groups of 2 for agriculture career presentations. Tests will be graded as a class. Expectations will be reviewed and students will be offered to make corrections and retake for a higher grade.
Thursday 8/25: Virtual Learning. Demonstrate expected skills. Complete all assigned classes for the week. Complete written lessons and turn-in. Greenhouse maintenance. Propagation table maintenance.
Friday 8/26: Off-Site project. Gates Mills resident. Crews leaders are selected. Expectations are reviewed and teams are selected. Student lead completion of soil installation and grading job. Customers satisfaction. Return of all equipment to barn upon completion. Crew leader forms and grades are reviewed. Virtual learn if not current.
