Mustang families,
It is hard to believe that we have
entered the month of May, the final month of our school year. I am so
very proud of your children - their social/emotional growth and/or academic
success has taken center stage throughout the past eight months and they will
continue to grow into great students and people!
May is a packed month with many
special end of year events. Please make sure to continuously check your
Infinite Campus account for messages from your child's teacher about upcoming
dates to remember.
Many of our Fourth grade students
are also engaged in Passion Projects this month to support causes near and dear
to their hearts. This is an amazing way to show their talents as
collaborator's, critical thinkers, communicators, and creative students outside
of the walls of our school. Below are descriptions and dates
for each project - please support these students in their efforts!
Cameron and Annabel are selling scented bubbles for $2 a piece during the week of 4/30 – 5/3. Proceeds will be donated to Viva Los Gatos Cat Rescue Shelter and Euclid Pet Pals.
Maddie and Norah are conducting a canned food drive to benefit the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. Each non-perishable food item brought in will earn your child a ticket for a prize drawing including a $25 Amazon gift card and other smaller prizes. It will take place the week of 5/6 – 5/10.
Jenna and Violet want you to help our Earth by using reusable packaging for your lunch and snacks, keeping trash out of the landfills! Bring your lunch/snack to the table set up and show them your reusable containers for a chance to win prizes. Each reusable container is one entry into the drawing! This occurs the week of 5/13 – 5/17.
Connor, Nicholas, Andre, and Joshua are doing a bake sale to benefit the Aid for Africa Organization. This will take place the week of 5/13 – 5/17.
Gia and Julia are doing a bake sale to raise money for the Highland Heights Swimming Pool. All proceeds will be donated to the Hurricanes Swim Team. The sale will occur during the week of 5/20 – 5/24.?
Finally, PTG appreciates your
support of Miles for Mustangs, our Spring Fundraiser. The proceeds will
support innovative technology for our new Mustang Maker
Zone, scheduled to launch in August of next school year! Please look
to PTG to share further logistics for this fun, day-time event on May 10th
very soon.
