Lander School is excited to help the American Cancer Society celebrate its 100th birthday by participating in the Relay Recess Program. Children will be engaged in a variety of activities during the week of May 20th as they help make a difference in the fight against cancer.

The theme of this year’s Field Day is “Sportsmanship”.  The morning session for the 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th graders is scheduled from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m.  In the afternoon, grades K, 1^st, and 2^nd will participate from 12:10 – 1:40 p.m.  If inclement weather conditions exist on June 4^th, then we will have alternative activities indoors.

Lander Day - Sunday, May 19 1:30 Game

I am so excited to announce that we have our very first classroom at Lander who received all of their green bands!  Mrs. Gregoire’s class did many kind things for others and the two kindness bands made it all the way around to each student in her class.  Therefore, each student now gets a kindness band to keep!

5th Grade Graduation Wednesday, June 5, 9 a.m.

5th Grade Clap Out, Thursday, June 6, 2 p.m.

The last day of school for students will be business as usuall with the school day from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Buses will run as usual. Lunch will be served by the Mayfield Hts Safety Forces and paid for by the Lander PTG. Instead of the hot dog lunch your child may bring a packed lunch. Due to space and safety concerns lunch will be for students only.

Mayfield Middle School will be hosting a Sixth Grade Orientation Program on August 20, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.

You will find lots of ideas and helpful hints to guide you through life's challenges from dealing with anger management, friendship issues, bullying, behavioral issues, etc.
