Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are excited to invite you to our Internet Safety Night on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the Mayfield High School Auditorium.
In partnership with Homeland Security, this important session is designed to help parents support their children in navigating the digital world safely and responsibly. This session is open to all district parents with students in grades K-12.
Session Topics:
Social Media Addiction: Strategies for managing screen time and fostering healthy habits
Grooming Tactics of Predators: Recognizing warning signs and responding appropriately
Sextortion: Identifying and preventing coercion or exploitation online
Privacy Settings: How to safeguard personal information across apps, games, and devices
Additional Safety Tips: Practical ways to promote secure online behavior
Our Internet Safety session will equip parents/guardians with valuable insights and tools to reinforce digital safety measures at home. Since December, MHS and MMS students have attended student-centered Internet safety sessions. Students are welcome to attend with their family.
We hope you will join us for this essential conversation. Together, we can ensure our students are prepared to use technology safely and responsibly.
