Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. As your new principal of Lander Elementary, I am excited to start this journey with all of you. Our teachers, staff, and administrators are devoted to providing your child with a successful experience and look forward to an exciting year. We believe in the importance of positive relationships with students, and our families, and are committed to getting to know each of them individually from day one. It is our belief at Lander that our students need to feel loved and valued in order to help them to be as successful as possible. We will continue to foster a school environment that provides a sense of security and belonging to everyone.
While we implement instructional practices that promote personalized learning experiences, we will also focus on personalizing our approach to individual students in order to meet the needs of the whole child. We will continue to build on our positive community and culture by utilizing our 4 P’s, which encourage our students to be prompt, polite, prepared, and productive. Thank you in advance for reviewing these expectations with your child or children.
As we strive to meet the individual needs of all our learners, I am looking forward to working with the community and involving our families in our student's educational experiences. You will receive a weekly newsletter with important information, dates, and logistics, as well as previews of exciting events that your child got to experience during their school day. Please access the SMORE newsletter by clicking on the link sent out via email, our school website, or social media through our Lander Facebook and Twitter pages. The information included in the newsletter, as well as information included on our website, will help keep you informed about your student's experiences.
Please do not hesitate to contact a teacher, school counselor, school psychologist, staff member, administrator, or me with any questions. We are here to help and support in any way we can. Let’s have a great school year and continue to grow as a school and community.
