Monday 9/5: No class. Labor Day
Tuesday 9/6: Students will discuss the parts of a plant and their function. Vocabulary will be stressed as well as concepts. Use of flashcards and games to better recall information. Oral questioning will be used to gauge understanding. Students will participate in a leaf collection to better understand to functions and leaf types and arrangements.
Wednesday 9/7: Students will present for FFA officer positions. Voting will take place and officers will be announced. Students will participate in creation of our fall newsletter. Identification and spelling tests will be issued. Quiz on parts of a plant should be expected.
Thursday 9/18: Students will virtual learn in the computer lab at GMEEC. Proper use of computers and self is expected. Greenhouse maintenance and propagation tasks will be completed.
Friday 9/19: Off-Site project will be completed. Students will prune ornamentals and maintain floral beds. Leadership skills will be practiced from senior students. Work ethic and practiced are observed.
