Dear Millridge Families,
An exciting time is upon us as we approach Monday, August 21st. As I am sure many of you may know a solar eclipse will occur In the latter part of the afternoon on this date. The staff are excited about this learning opportunity for our students.
During this afternoon time our older students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be teaching our younger students some intriguing information surrounding this natural phenomenon. Homerooms at each grade level will work with one another to better understand the eclipse prior to the opportunity to experience it.
Thanks to the generosity of our PTG every student and staff member will receive a pair of approved sunglasses through a company that works directly with NASA. These sunglasses will protect eyes as intended so that students will be able to view in a safe manner.
Please know that we will take all necessary precautions with your child, while still allowing them to receive this once in a lifetime experience.
