Hi, my name is Amanda Pona and I am in my eighth year of teaching. Five of those eight years have been at Mayfield Preschool as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. Prior to Mayfield I taught at Wickliffe Elementary School for two years.
After high school I attended the University of Mount Union where I majored in Early Childhood and Special Education. I completed my Master’s at Clemson University. Some of my favorite activities include walking my golden-doodle, running races, and baking.
I love teaching and challenging our youngest learners! In preschool we learn so many foundational skills such as playing and socializing with others, pre-academic concepts, and participating in group activities. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us. Go Wildcats!!
