Flowers, Kaylee

This month, Millridge is participating in a Read-a-Thon.  Your child will be reading and through pledges from family and friends, will be earning money for Millridge based on how much they read. Everything is tracked online, which makes inviting sponsors and logging minutes read extremely simple!
Instead of doing a reading log this month, I would like students to log their reading minutes on There will also be no RRJ’s this month. Whooose Reading has questions about your child’s book that I would like them to answer.
Your child should have brought home a sheet with their login in and password information. If you have not gotten it, I can send you their information. If you do not have or have limited access to the internet, please let me know and we can work out a way for your child to log their reading minutes.
The basics of the Read-a-Thon:
·         Students Read Books: Students read whatever they're interested in during the Read-A-Thon: Biographies, picture books, fairy tales, etc. Students who are not able to read on their own can count time when another person reads to them.
·         Log Activity Online: Students keep track of everything they read during the fundraiser on their secure and fun online reading profile – This site works best if you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox or Safari. Students will not only be able to log their time but complete activities about books they read and also create their own “Owlvitar”, which can even win them prizes.
