Preschool Screening Update

Due to inclement weather we have to postpone Peer Screening. This was an unfortuante situation. Hopefully we will not have the same happen on the rescheduled date, but please note that if Mayfield Schools are closed, the Preschool will not have any programs that day as well.

Session 1 is from 11:30 to 12:30
Session 2 is from 1:00 to 12:00

Dear Perspective Parents:

We are so grateful for your interest in Mayfield Preschool!
What a marvelous time to be exploring preschool options for your child(ren). Being a Peer Model at Mayfield Preschool is an exciting opportunity for your child to grow and learn in our integrated environment that allows all children, including those with special needs, to gain appreciation for each other's similarities and differences.

There are a few requirements for children entering our program as Peer Models:

• Resident of the Mayfield City School District

• 3 years of age by August 1, 2019

• Fully toilet trained by start of school

• Demonstrate age-appropriate cognitive, language, and social/emotional skills

With these guidelines in mind we offer Peer Screening sessions where your child will participate in a variety of preschool activities including; play time, story time and an art project within a one-hour time frame with other children. Please contact the school office at 440-995-7300 to attend a screening session. If necessary, please leave voice mail with your child's name, date of birth, time preference and your phone number.

Friday, January 25, 2019 8:30 - 9:30 am or 10:30 - 11:30 am

Prior to attending peer screening day, every parent is being asked to complete a short survey regarding your child using this link:

The answers to the questions will allow the Mayfield Preschool Staff to know a little bit about your child and to appropriately prepare for the day's activities. Our step-by-step process is to ensure that screening and program recommendations are done in a timely manner. If you have any questions, please ask!

For more information, please visit the Mayfield City School District website at and click HOME> PROGRAMS> Mayfield Preschool Program> SHOW MENU> make selection. Thank you for your interest in our preschool program. We look forward to meeting you and your child.
