Yoga at Recess

Yoga and mindfulness can help with test anxiety, increased concentration, increased independence, improved mood, increased ability to deal with pressure and decreased negative behavior.  Additionally, yoga can increase self esteem, provide direct instruction on self regulation and awareness, decrease negative thought patterns and promote overall strength and development.  I hope to help students learn more about how to relax, reenergize and refocus their bodies and minds during their very busy days. 

I will be initiating a yoga club for 4th and 5th graders during recess.  We will meet each Friday during recess time.  If your son or daughter would like to participate, please be sure to return the permission slip.
