Your child will have
math homework everyday!!
·
Your child is expected
to read aloud to you for a minimum of
15 minutes everyday.
·
Even though your child
may not have homework in a given subject, it is expected he/she studies the
lesson taught each day.

Parent/Teacher communication is very
important. Please check your
child’s agenda each evening. We
try very hard to stay on schedule.
However, there are times when changes to assignments may be made.

will review past skills such as fact/ opinion and prefixes and suffixes. We will begin the skills of compare and
contrast using venn diagrams.
There will be a homework assignment on Monday and will be due on
Tuesday. There will be a short quiz
over skills on Friday.
Reading

Vocab
quiz and packet as well as skill check #1 due Monday. This week we will be
focusing on prefixes, suffixes, synonyms, and antonyms. Skill check #2 due
Monday Nov. 22nd.
Writing – Ms.

We
will be reviewing prefixes, suffixes and be introduced to the three kinds of
verbs. Spelling contract 9 will
come home on Monday and is due on Friday when they take their test.

We will continue our Unit on
Fractions and Decimals. We will add/subtract fractions with like denominators.
We also learn about mixed numbers, proper and improper fractions. Please
practice basic multiplication facts with your child each evening. Please be
sure to check your child’s agenda book or my webpage for homework assignments.

We
will continue discussing slow and rapid changes of the Earth's surface. There
will be a quiz on Friday 11/19.
Social Studies

We
will continue to study frontier wars in Ohio, and the steps Ohio took to become
a state. Tuesday's homework is a worksheet on Main Idea. It is due on
Wednesday.
