Ruzanna Gaboyan is the Social Studies student of the month. Although Ruzanna has worked at a high level all year, she has demonstrated significant growth as well. Ruzanna's writing shows great depth of understanding and critical thinking. She loves history and is so knowledgeable about so many different topics of Social Studies. You name it- The Mongols, French History, East Asian cultural traditions, economics, U.S. National Security Policy...Ruzanna knows a lot about it and is curious to learn even more. She often asks and answers challenging questions in class and helps to move the learning forward. In addition to performing at the highest levels, Ruzanna has engaged in student leadership by peer-tutoring her classmates and assisting students who are learning English. Ruzanna has participated in the Model UN and CCWA Speaker Series Forums this year. She has also presented at a recent staff meeting, sharing the perspective of a student who has learned English as a Second Language. Her classmates and teachers appreciate her energy, kindness and compassion, and desire to learn and help others to grow. Congratulations, Ruzanna!
