In Jan 2017, The Mayfield High School Kitchen staff, along with the Food Service Director, were thrilled to announce the launching of a coffee bar at Mayfield High School—called “Cat’s Coffee Bar”. During breakfast and lunch periods, students and staff will be able to choose from regular or decaffeinated, hot or iced coffee, in gourmet flavor varieties.  See this article for more details: News-Herald today on Cat’s Coffee Bar

Taste Tests

Farm to School:   In 2017 student interns provided taste tests of different fresh fruits and vegetables to encourage healthy food behaviors and acceptance. Elementary students had the opportunity to try varieties of apples, bell peppers, squash, zucchini and roasted cauliflower during their lunch times, and the results were largely favorable! Due to popular demand, colorful bell peppers have been added to the elementary lunch menu.  The fresh produce was provided by Eddy's Fruit Farm in Chesterland!
