U.S. News & World Report names Mayfield High School in 2017 edition of Best High Schools

Mayfield High School again was named a U.S. News "Best High School." More than 6,000 schools - barely 25 percent of the schools that U.S. News evaluated - were awarded in this year's rankings. Criteria to be named on the "Best High Schools" list includes school-specific data on enrollment, college readiness, student ethnicity, location, school type and results of state assessments and Advanced Placement tests.

"Once again I am so proud to thank our teachers, staff and students for their dedication and hard work to achieve national recognition at Mayfield High Schoool," Superintendent Keith Kelly said. "But what is as important as the accolade is knowing that we are preparing our students for college and career. As I have said many times, we are not only about test scores. Mayfield's mission for our students is to teach and train them so they can advance academically, personally and professionally. With the support of a fantastic staff, students are clearly making the most of their experience at MHS.”
