Summer Central

Summer Central

Summer Central is your online location for electronic resources regarding your Mayfield City Schools student or students heading into the 2018-2019 school year.

Annual Update OLR

It is REQUIRED for a parent/guardian to complete the Online Annual Update through the Infinte Campus Parent Portal BEFORE the first day of school, so that the school has the most current and accurate information for each student.

ALL High Schools students will need to have this completed by their parent/guardian BEFORE their assigned 1:1 device release night.  (See schedule here)

Annual Update OLR is the electronic process for parents to go into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal in order to update and confirm all student data that is currently in our system. We will no longer be mailing out or sending home any paper based sheets to gather student information. This MUST be done BEFORE the first day of school.  For step by step instructions, please see the link below.
It is recommended to use Windows IE 11, Firefox or Safari. Windows must be Windows 7 or later.  Annual Updates cannot be done via a hand held device (iOS or Android).

Wildcat Read 2018

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

Good things come in threes. Think June, July, and August and the sweet reprieve and rest that summer brings. Think the Wildcat Read. Yes, good things do indeed come in threes. As we continue to celebrate the power reading brings and the third year of the Mayfield Wildcat Read, we invite the Mayfield community to join us in embracing our 2018 Wildcat Read selection, Everything I Never Told You by Shaker Height’s native Celeste Ng.

The Wildcat Read, a community-wide reading initiative, salutes the work of Ng’s Everything I Never Told You, recognized as one of 2014’s notable books of the year by The New York Times Book Review. The narrative is set in a 1970s Ohio college town where the Lee family tries to make sense of who they are, who they have been, and who they might become now that they have lost their daughter and sister—Lydia. Ng’s novel is both a mystery and tribute, a tribute to the universal desire to understand one another.

When school ends this Thursday, our stories will take us to different places, to different experiences, but we will remain connected through meeting and understanding the Lee family. Some of the Wildcat community will read on the beaches and others under our favorite trees. Despite our different locations, we will turn the pages of Ng’s book with a synergistic reading energy that will connect and unite us. As we read this compelling story, we will gasp, we will question, and we will mourn. The triumvirate of these emotions discovered in the power of story will unite us in the universals that make us human.

We are grateful for the year we have had sharing in the challenges and the triumphs that reading stirs and elicits, and we look forward to what the 2018-2019 school year brings. In the fall, we will reunite once again. When we do, we look forward to hearing your insights about the struggles, choices, secrets, and triumphs revealed in Everything I Never Told You, and we will do so with the style that defines our Wildcat spirit: Together, together in a school wide student led book talk.

We are also grateful to the Mayfield Academic Boosters and The Library Media Center for their generosity which allowed us to distribute over 180 copies of Everything I Never Told You to students and staff. As you are enjoying the repose of summer, take a moment to capture a picture with Everything I Never Told You in your favorite summer spot and post to our Mayfield Wildcat Read twitter @WildcatRead.

We can’t wait to see you back with us in the fall!
