American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

Lifeguard Certification

SPRING 2024 LIFEGUARD RECERTIFICATION




This American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Class is offered to individuals of ages 15 years and older. Individuals must successfully pass the required Pre-Course Swim Test before they can take the LIfeguard Training Class. Upon successful completion of the Lifeguard Training Class, each participant will receive the following certifications: Lifeguard Training, CPR for Professional Rescuer, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid.

Water Safety Instructor

 

 

                            Water Safety Instructor (16+ years old)

             If you’re at least 16 years old and a proficient swimmer, you can become an              American Red Cross Water Safety instructor. Learn to teach children and adults safety,  survival and swimming skills, and teach your community about water safety. It is fun and you’ll develop valuable teaching and leadership skills.

 

          


 

Lifeguard Instructor (LGI)

LIFEGUARD INSTRUCTOR 
  The purpose of the instructor course is to train instructor
  candidates to teach the Red Cross Lifeguarding, Shallow Water 
  Lifeguarding, Waterfront Skills, Waterpark Skills, CPR/AED for 
  Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers, Administering
  Emergency Oxygen and Bloodborne Pathogens Training: 
  Preventing Disease Transmission courses and/or modules. 
  Instructor candidates will also become familiar with Jr.
  Lifeguarding, Lifeguard Management, Safety Training for Swim
  Coaches & Basic Water Rescue.
