Wildcat Athletics

At Mayfield High School, we recognize interscholastic athletics as being an integral part of the educational process; that athletics aid in the overall growth and development of the student's intellectual, social, and physical maturity. As such...it is the mission of the Mayfield Athletic Department to support and supplement the mission of the Mayfield City Schools and provide an opportunity for all students to reach their full potential.

To fulfill this mission, we offer 25 varsity sports for both boys and girls. It is our aim to use athletics as a vehicle for teaching lifelong lessons that will enable our student-athletes to blossom into productive citizens in their communities.

Cleveland Clinic, Proud Supporter of Mayfield Athletics

Cleveland Clinic is the provider of sports medicine for Mayfield Athletics. Led by Athletic Trainer Heather Fisher, and team doctor, Dr. Kurt Spindler, Mayfield athletes have access to state-of-the-art treatment and care. Requirements to be a Mayfield Athlete

Any student interested in participating in athletics at Mayfield High School is required to:

* achieve at least a 1.5 GPA in the most recently completed grading period

* earn a minimum of 1.25 credits in the most recently completed grading period

* be enrolled in at least 1.25 credits

* have a complete Final Forms account, which includes all parent and student signatures, a current physical on file, and a current ImPACT concussion test

Framed Pictures Available from Athletic Wall of Fame

The redesign of the gym/auditorium hallway has lead to the digitization of the Mayfield Athletic Wall of Fame. Pictures and athlete/team information are now displayed on a digital, searchable touchscreen kiosk. More +
