5 STARS ON STATE REPORT CARD
Mayfield City Schools is proud to announce that the district has earned a 5-Star Rating on the 2024–25 Ohio State Report Card, the highest distinction awarded by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
The 5-Star designation reflects Mayfield excellence across all six measured components, including academic achievement, student progress, gap closing, graduation rates, early literacy and college, career, workforce and military readiness. This achievement highlights the district’s commitment to academic excellence and student growth at every level.
“This milestone is a true reflection of the dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and community,” said Superintendent Dr. Michael Barnes. “While the state report card is an important indicator of our progress, it is only one part of our larger journey. We are proud of this accomplishment and remain committed to providing exceptional opportunities for every student to grow and succeed.”
Board of Education President Ron Fornaro added, “This rating represents the collective effort of our entire school community — students, families, teachers, and staff. It’s a proud moment for Mayfield and a reminder of what we can achieve when we work together in support of our children.”
