Device Plan
The HP Chromebooks selected by Mayfield City Schools for the 1:1 initiative have a four-year life expectancy. Beginning in 2018, the district launched the program by distributing devices to students in grades 5–12 based on this lifecycle model.
Then in the 2020–2021 school year, the program expanded to include all students in grades 2–4, ensuring broader access to technology across elementary levels.
Now in the 2026 school year, MFCSD switched our 1st grade cart model from Apple Ipads to HP Chromebooks. These devices will be assigned to individual students at the start of each school year for classroom use. After completing first grade, students will then take their assigned devices home as part of our 1:1 take home plan and continue to use them through fourth grade.
