As the Director of Student Services and Supports, I have the distinct privilege of overseeing the programs and departments that support the whole child—ensuring every student feels safe, healthy, connected, and ready to learn every day.

We believe that academic success goes hand-in-hand with physical well-being, emotional health, and consistent daily engagement. Whether your child is visiting the school nurse, seeking guidance from a counselor, or building positive social habits, our department is here to provide wrap-around support based on students' needs.

Our Pillars

  • Behavioral Support: We utilize proactive, positive approaches to foster a culture of respect, accountability, and citizenship across all our buildings, helping students learn from mistakes and build strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attendance & Engagement: Every school day matters. We partner with families to overcome barriers to attendance, keeping students in the classroom where they can thrive academically and socially.
  • Mental Health & Wellness: Our dedicated school psychologists, social workers, counselors, and outside partners offer confidential emotional support, crisis intervention, and tools for stress management and resilience.
  • Health Services: Our school health personnel manage chronic health conditions, administer medications, provide first aid, and promote wellness habits to keep our campuses healthy.

Partnering for Success

No school district achieves a thriving student community without strong collaboration between home and school. You know your children best, and we rely on your partnership to help them navigate challenges and celebrate their milestones. If your family is facing a difficult transition, a health concern, or you simply want to discuss how we can better support your child's emotional or behavioral needs, please reach out directly to your school’s main office or our student services department.

"Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be." — Rita Pierson
