When creating a News Article, select "News" as your component.
You may give your News Article a title. In the example it is entitled "Example News Article". You can select how long the article stays visible for by selecting a date it will expire.
Archived News will be the location of all news articles that you have created once they expire. Every news articles will go to the archived news section.
When in the archived news section, you will notice the filtering options in the column to the right. You have the ability to search news within the current page, within the site or by building. You can also search for keywords or phrases as well as within a certain range of dates.
RSS Feeds --- When creating a News Component, parents and or students can subscribe to an RSS Feed for your News. Inform parents to click subscribe, a new window will appear where they will click +Subscribe to this feed. Parents will then click subscribe a final time to finally subscribe. Your class news component will now automatically update in their feed.
