Saturday Learn To Swim

Swim Lessons for Varying Ages and Abilities
Wildcat Sport & Fitness is now proud to offer the newly updated American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program!

Parent & Child (Ages 6 Months - 3 Years): This program helps children between 6 months and 3 years of age become comfortable in and around the water. Parents will learn different support techniques as well as how to help children learn and practice skills appropriate for their age. Parents will be in the water with their children for this class.

Preschool 1 (Ages 3-5): I cannot put my face in the water, need support to float, and want to become more comfortable in the water.

Preschool 2 (Ages 3-5) : I can put my face in the water and am comfortable being in the pool. I am ready to start trying some swimming skills independently.

Preschool 3 (Ages 3-5): I passed preschool advanced. I understand the basics of floating, kicking, and swimming and am ready to begin swimming independently and floating on my back.

Level 1 (Ages 6 & Up): I passed Preschool Super Kids or School Age Beginner. I am ready to swim front crawl further independently. I am ready to begin learning back crawl and breast stroke.

Level 2 (Ages 6 & Up): I am ready to swim front crawl, back crawl, and breast stroke independently. I am ready to begin rotary breathing. I am ready to begin combining multiple skills in a sequence while swimming such as treading, floating, and changing direction.

Level 3 (Ages 6 & Up): I am ready to begin diving from the pool edge, swimming the full 25-yard length of the pool, and learning butterfly kick. After completing this class I will have demonstrated all of the skills of basic water competency.

Level 4 (Ages 6 & Up): Introduces backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly strokes and reinforces water safety through building endurance.

Pre-Swim Team (Ages 7 & Up): I am ready to step up stroke development and work my way towards swim team.  I will work on all 4 competitive strokes, streamlines, kicking w/ a kickboard, and diving progressions. This class is a blend between a swim lesson and swim practice.
